headacheHeadaches are something that will more than likely plague everyone at one point in their life. There are many reasons that headaches can be caused from tension, stress and even from an imbalance within the body or pressure being exerted on certain points in the skull. Here are some ways that you can treat headaches without traditional medication – that work just as well!

Consider these natural treatments for headaches before resorting to popping a pill that is full of unnatural ingredients:

  • Lemon infused tea. To make the tea simply brew a pot or a cup of tea as you normally would and insert four to six slices of lemon inside the cup of tea. Drink this while it is hot and you should be back to your old self in no time.
  • If you have a headache that has been caused by sudden exposure to the cold air than cinnamon is known as a natural remedy. Simply create a paste from cinnamon and water and apply this paste to the temple. It should help to alleviate the headache due to the cold.
  • If you suffer from constant headaches than natural health experts recommend a hot foot bath, which can be used daily before bed to reduce headaches in as little as two weeks. Soak the feet in water that is at least forty degrees for the treatment to be successful.
  • Make an infusion of rosemary and boiling water and drape a towel over the infusion, this can reduce the headache and lead to headache prevention in the future.
