California is beautiful and many people dream of living there. The sunshine and palms trees, as well as the mountains can be breath taking. What many people don’t know is that the people who live in California pay a pretty penny to be there. Not only is it expensive to pay for housing in California, but just about everything else is expensive too. This can be said for just about any area that people desire to live in. It’s all about demand and location! With the high cost of living in California, one must wonder what the cost of California family health insurance is. Well the good news is that of all the things that are more expensive in California, health insurancecosts about the same as it does anywhere else. In fact for a family living in California, some of the quotes they can receive online may sound relatively cheap to them. For example, if a California family wants to have a night out at the movies, chances are they are going to spend a minimum of $30.00 a head! If you multiply that by 5 people, that is $150 dollars! This is for one night out.

A family could easily obtain a health insurance plan for $150.00 a month, depending on the deductible and coverage they choose. Essentially what this means is that for about the price of a movie and dinner, you could get your family covered by a health insurance plan. It seems like a very small sacrifice to make for the future of your families health, especially if there are small children involved. Proper medical care can be the one difference between life and death in some cases. A lot of people think that just because they can obtain emergency medical care at their county ER that they don’t have to worry. This is not true because the ER will only do so much. Once the patient is considered medically stable he/she will be sent home with a recommendation of follow up care, which will not be affordable without insurance.
